The PEDIGREE of
Man of the Seroglazovo Culture
(pre-neolithic stockbreeding culture near the lower Volga River)
Note: The Mesolithic Seroglazovo Culture, with an economy based on hunting, fishing, and horse breeding, is probably the predecessor of the Kurgan (proto-Indo-European) culture (though Bug-Dniester pig-farmers to the West, Zagros goat-herders to the South, and Baltic hunters to the North have also been proposed). Its location near the lower Volga River satisfies linguistic clues to Indo-European origin, e.g. proximity to Uralic and Caucasian language homelands.
